Susanne Curran

Head of Factual


Susanne has worked in production and development throughout her career and joined Burning Bright in February 2017 to broaden our talent led programming and produce new documentary, specialist and popular factual content. 


Prior to Burning Bright she spent 3 years at access documentary indie Wild Pictures and 4 years at the BBC (Factual) as both Head of Development and Executive Producer. Her development credits include relationship series Mr V Mrs: Call the Mediator (BBC Two); The Cruise (ITV1); hard hitting documentaries Brits/Kids/Families… Behind Bars (ITV1); and returning daytime format My Life in Books with Anne Robinson (BBC Two).


An RTS award-winning Series Producer, her credits include Summer Exhibition: The Royal Academy (BBC Two); Location, Location, Location (Channel 4) and Animal Park (BBC).  As Executive Producer her credits include BBC’s  Mr V Mrs: Call the Mediator (shortlisted Grierson Awards 2017); a raft of critically acclaimed Arts docs including South Africa in Pictures (BBC4), The Story of LIFE Magazine (BBC4); Shooting the Hollywood Stars (BBC Two) presented by the photographer Rankin and In Search of Charlie Chaplin with Terry Jones (ITV).
